1982 - Present. Founded with two others a not-for- profit family mediation center offering the full range of mediation services including divorce mediation, custody negotiations, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, estate disputes, and geriatric
planning. Developed a forty hour training program in divorce mediation that is approved by the Academy of Family Mediators. Trained and supervised the Center's mediation staff. Training:
Supervised Practicum: Our 60-hour Practicum is offered in both 20 week and 30 week formats. It gives students the opportunity to both complete an actual mediation as well as observe several other through a live video hook-up. Internship: The Center is now offering an internship for those who have completed both the Basic Training and the Supervised Practicum. In the Internship, you will work directly with one of the trainers. You will sit in and co-mediate one or two cases to their completion for a minimum of ten hours. Following each session there will be a debriefing with the trainer. In addition you will be supervised on your preparation of the Memorandum and/or the Agreement. |
